In today's challenging and disruptive business environment, it is no longer adequate to develop a corporate strategic plan by just using the basic strategic analytical tools like SWOT, 5 Forces Of Competition, Environmental Scanning or PESTEL
There are 2 additional critical areas that must be established as well:
๐ก Develop inter-relationship of the strategic objectives
๐ก Create values
๐ A corporate strategy must have the ability to tell, relate and connect the story to everyone in the organisation
๐ Developing a Strategy Map becomes important as it is the first step to create values. It must be clear that organisation cannot view strategic performance metrics as a stand-alone in relation to a specific objective.
๐ Creating a series of Cause-and-Effect Linkages among Strategic Objectives in the 4 perspectives of a balanced scorecard is Mission Critical.
